The founding campus opened in 2007 opposite Sarvershwar Mahadev Temple, in the middle of the neighbourhood it serves. Everything the group does now was first tried here — activity-led lessons, small teaching groups and a timetable that protects art and sport.
Nearly two decades on it remains the largest school in the group, with over 1,900 students, and the place most Innovative teachers are trained.
Opened in 2016 to extend the approach down to the years when habits of curiosity actually form. Play-based, sensory and unhurried — with the same emphasis on knowing each child that runs through the rest of the group.
The network now runs five branches across two cities and looks after more than 700 of our youngest learners.
The 2017 campus gave the idea the room it always needed: 6.5 acres, 70,000 sq.ft. of built-up area and a thousand trees planted with the school rather than after it.
It opened with 150+ students and 30+ certified teachers, and is designed so that a child's day moves easily between classroom, laboratory, amphitheatre and open ground.
